Three intersecting crises that jeopardize the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (UN)
A new United Nations report on the Sustainable Development Goals reveals that the convergence of escalating fighting, the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and the long-term climate crisis could tip 75 to 95 million additional people in extreme poverty this year.
The UN’s 2022 Report highlights three intersecting global crises that threaten all 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the UN, these crises have an impact on food supply, health, education and security in all countries of the world. This new United Nations report reveals that the convergence of intensified fighting, the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and the long-term climate crisis could push an additional 75 to 95 million people into extreme poverty this year.
