Israeli Vice Premier, Silvan Shalom, has resigned after allegations that he sexually harassed a number of women during his career.
Shalom was a veteran politician in the cabinet of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israel’s attorney general has ordered an investigation in to the claims made in the media.
Shalom also served as the country’s interior minister although his resignation is not expected to affect the stability of the government.
The media speak of between ten and eleven charges of sexual harassment from former employees of Likud MP.
