It was under this slogan that thousands of Britons participated Saturday in a « march for Europe », nine days after the victory of Brexit. An impressive procession started from Hyde Park towards the Palace of Westminster.
Many demonstrators carried flags of the European Union or were dressed in blue tops. Many expressed a feeling of revolt:
« All of these behaviors, repugnant facts of racism, xenophobia, seen across the country are simply unacceptable, » said the French who lived for nine years in the UK. (…)
According to Ipsos Mori poll, 16% of Britons who voted in the referendum believe that Britain will remain in the European Union.
