Children Start Education in Syria and Gaza
According to UN reports, children in Syria and Gaza have returned to school with the start of school year around the world. United Nations has adopted comprehensive and new solutions to address emergency educational needs of students in both places where schools are mostly damaged or destroyed.
While educational environment has been seriously affected by the conflict leading to delayed academic year, there is strong determination to give children a hope for better future and favorable conditions through attending schools.
Obviously, there will be numerous challenges since many buildings are destroyed and some of them are used as shelters. However, education is the most important priority along with a sense of safety and normality.
First of all, attentions should be concentrated on psychological support to children after which alternative learning can be provided which will be followed by standard curriculum. Education is crucial to all children all around the world, even in emergency situation.
