Sudan: conflicts and violence = large-scale victims!
The conflict that has raged for nearly three months in Sudan between the army and the paramilitaries has forced more than 3.3 million people to flee their homes, including nearly 733,000 refugees, the UN said.
The health system is close to collapse and the production of staple crops is threatened by the conflict.
As the airstrikes intensified and more civilians were killed, the UN and African blocs warned of the ethnic dimension to the conflict in different parts of Sudan, including Darfur.
According to reports, there have been large-scale violence and casualties across Sudan’s Darfur region as the war between the country’s military factions entered its 12th week.
There have been also concerns about reports of renewed fighting in North Kordofan, South Kordofan, and Blue Nile States, indicating an obvious violation of humanitarian and human rights law and necessitating the discontinuation of fighting and commitment to a long-lasting cessation of hostilities.

In addition, the protection of civilians and the provision of humanitarian action will be only possible if the parties to the conflict abide by their obligations under international humanitarian and human rights law.
