Violation of Human Rights at rising death toll in Gaza
Mutual revengeful operations of Israeli military and Palestinian armed groups which have resulted in death tolls and injuries of many civilians have raised global concerns.
The conflict has led not only to deaths and injuries, but also to destruction, distrust and grievous elongation of the conflict. Many Palestinians including children and women have been killed in Gaza, while according to the reports hundreds have been injured during the attacks.
On the other side, attacks started by Palestinian armed groups in response to Israeli operations led to injuries of some civilians as well as frightening many more in Israeli side forcing them to flee to shelters. The latest outrage of Gaza war comes in the wake of kidnapping and murder of teenagers in ruthless revengeful activities by the conflict sides. As evidence shows, kidnapping and killing of children in offensive attacks indicate that they are victims of war crimes and target to violation of human rights.
However, as many humanitarian activists and institutions emphasize, directing attacks against civilians and civilian objects is violation of humanitarian law and human rights. As Mr. Ban Ki-moon emphasizes, it is a prompt need to find common ground for a cease-fire understanding. Leaders of all sides have to abandon their revengeful behavior in favor of a peaceful solution.
